Extreme joy and grief all in the same moment.

I received news in the middle of the night in Madagascar that my baby sister gave birth to her first baby. I am thrilled to have a new nephew but at the very same moment grieving the fact that I am thousands of miles away and will not get to meet this little man until Christmas. These are the days it's a bit harder to be on the other side of the world from your family. I am so thankful however I do have the opportunity to fly home at Christmas to meet him. Skype is an amazing invention for the missionary as well.
